Péter Bársony graduated from the College of Commerce, Catering and Tourism in 1999 with a bachelor's degree, and obtained a masters degree in Organizational Management at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and Public Administration in 2002. During his studies, his team competed successfully at the McGill University (Montreal) International Management Case Study Competition. He expanded his educational background by studying finance at Harvard University. He also obtained qualifications in structured and project financing.
For some years he worked as junior manager at Interface Ltd., where he was in charge of database products and data-warehouses, and was responsible for key account management. He also led business projects for Hartmann-Rico and Szerencsejáték Rt., reviewing strategy and developing a balanced score card system to break down goals to a personal level.
He spent more than four years at the Hungarian National Tourist Office, initially as assistant to the CEO, while from October 2004 he was director of controlling. He was responsible for the development and management of the controlling system, the supervision of the planning process, controlling budget utilization, and managing the planning and follow-up of the company's activities.
He started working for Tourconsult Kft. in December 2006 as a partner and chief consultant specializing in strategic planning and finance.
He speaks fluent English and some German.
