Ágnes Kelecsényi graduated from the College of Foreign Trade
in 1982, obtaining a bachelor's degree in marketing. Acquiring many qualifications
since then, including the Dale Carnegie training, she has 20 years of
experience in the tourism marketing business.She started her professional career at Atrium Hyatt Budapest Hotel as sales executive. In 1990 she joined the new Thermal Hotel Helia as PR manager. She was responsible for internal and external communication, and all promotional activity, already at the pre-opening stage. Between 1991-93 she was the marketing director of the first national tourism office of Hungary, where the first national identity handbook for publications and trade fair appearances underline her achievements. After this pioneering experience, she was appointed sales director of Thermal Hotel Helia, delivering an increase of over 15% in occupancy within two years. In 1997, looking for international experience, she joined Swiss Air Hungary as sales manager, being responsible for the airline's Hungarian marketing and sales activity. After some years of entrepreneurship, in 2002 she became deputy CEO of marketing at the Hungarian National Tourist Office. Her biggest achievements included international campaigns to increase awareness of the Hungary brand, and enhancing the company's acceptance in the travel trade through marketing activity said to be the most successful in recent decades. She succeeded in coordinating and leading the activity of 23 foreign and 9 domestic offices, achieving structured and targeted marketing activity and daily operation. She speaks fluent English, German and some Russian. |
